glasses and fusing them in the kiln (firing 1).  Next, I cut the blacks into bands and grind the edges smooth.  Into the kiln to fire polish
Truly, a labor of love, these watches take 4 firings in the kiln before I can wire wrap them together.  Each band is created by layering my
the edges (firing 2).  The bands are then paired and cored, drilling holes in the bands at either end so I can wire wrap them.  Back into
the kiln for another fire polishing (firing 3).  Next the bands get set onto steel mandrels that create the curve in the band so they will fit
perfectly on the wrist.  Did I mention they need another firing to do this? (firing 4).
After all that, I then wire wrap the watch faces and magnetic clasps to the bands to create the watches.  I will size these watches to fit,
you can choose your wrist size.  When you place your order, make sure I have a phone number to reach you at so I can see how you
like to wear your watches and so I know how long to make your safety chain.                                                  Stephanie Martin, Glass Artist
